There are moments when a luncheon feels like just another event on the calendar. Then there are moments when a gathering reveals something much larger about where a city is headed.
The Houston Area Urban League’s fifth annual Advancing Opportunity Luncheon was one of those moments.
Held June 26 at the Hilton Americas-Houston, the luncheon brought together business executives, nonprofit leaders, educators, healthcare professionals, elected officials, philanthropists and community advocates around this year’s theme, Mobility in Motion: Shaping What’s Next for Houston: Investing in People, Pathways, and Progress for a Stronger Houston.
