OVERVIEW:
The Evaluation & Data Analyst will lead evaluation efforts, including collection, analysis, interpretation and communication of both quantitative and qualitative data to demonstrate programming impact and provide actionable insights to drive decision making. The Analyst will work closely with the Mission and Strategy team to ensure that training on utilizing data-driven insights is provided across organizations to optimize the Integrated Client Journey (ICJ) and ultimately positively impact the community. Additionally, the Analyst will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to utilize data provided to assess the current implementation plan and methodology and make appropriate recommendations for needed improvements across all areas of Mission and Strategy.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluation: Responsible for the evaluation of the Integrated Client Journey including designing and implementing data collection methodologies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, reporting, and other quantitative and qualitative techniques. Analyze and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations, providing meaningful insights and recommendations. Develop and maintain interactive and static dashboards to track common metrics and monitor progress towards learning goals for internal and external stakeholders. Assist in the design of evaluation studies, cost benefit analysis studies, and/or outcomes research studies for the Integrated Client Journey. Respond to requests for data or information. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively through written reports, presentations, and data visualization tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate evaluation and data analysis into learning agenda, program development, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts.
- Oversight and Agency Support: Provide oversight, support and leadership to agency CQI teams on questions of program performance and improvement. Develop training curriculum and facilitate training to agency staff. Support funded partners through training and technical assistance for planning, designing and conducting program improvement activities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Provide cross-functional collaboration for planning and implementation within Mission and Strategy and other departments. Working collaboratively, utilize data provided to review current implementation plan and methodology and make appropriate recommendations for needed improvements across all areas of Mission and Strategy that will advance our goals for ensuring all members of the community have the opportunity to thrive. Stay abreast of best practices, emerging trends, and innovations in evaluation and data analysis to continually enhance organizational capacity and impact. At times, lead various planning and development efforts within Mission and Strategy.
- Continuously Improve Knowledge and Expertise: Seek out and utilize literature, research, and other current information to stay abreast of latest data on ALICE, their challenges, and practices to remove barriers and move towards goals. Utilize this information to inform and educate community partners, stakeholders and colleagues.
- Constituent Relationships: Work with UWGH’s Advancement team to identify, develop and implement opportunities to communicate work, UWGH goals and priorities to constituents. Be an effective and compelling communicator of the same to advance engagement and brand value.

Bachelors or better in Statistics or related field.
Experience
Required
5 years:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge of evaluation, data analysis, applied research and data best practices. Must be able to aggregate quantitative and qualitative data and present it in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner. Must possess above-average proficiency in various software applications: Microsoft Office, Tableau, and Power BI. Strong presentation skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication abilities, are required.
