International Cooling Tower, Inc. (ICT)
This position may require extensive travel depending on project location.
Responsibilities
- A key participant in the relationship with the employees, contractors, subcontractors, company and client. The Foreman has the following specific areas of responsibility:
- Manage job in the absence of the Superintendent
- Oversee field subcontractors
- Read blue prints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, dimensions of the structure or fixture
- Select lumber and other materials to be used on the assigned job
- Prepare layout, using rulers, tape measures, framing square and calipers
- Oversee marking, cutting and assembly lines on materials using pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
- Oversee the shaping of materials to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels, and chainsaws
- Oversee the assembling of cut and shaped materials
- Align mechanical equipment and perform piping
- Assist with the erection of framework
- Fit and install material as needed
- Additional tasks as assigned by Superintendent or Field and Area Managers
- Conduct daily and weekly Safety meetings
- Complete incident reports as necessary

- Competency in all cooling tower and reconstruction processes
- Strong interpersonal skills at all levels
- Ability to listen well, follow instructions, and make sure that directives are completed
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 3-5+ years in field cooling tower construction
- 3 years (minimum) as a Foreman in cooling tower construction
- Construction management experience preferred
- OSHA 10 AND OSHA 30
- Must pass level 1 DISA background
- Must pass drug & hair follicle
- Must have a TWIC card
Certifications, Skills and Abilities
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of Windows-based applications
- Knowledge and application of safety standards through OSHA training and experience
- Rigging, forklift, and man lift certification
- Ability to manage large crews and work scopes
- Working hours range from 40-84, no set hours. Must be flexible to work Sat or Sun, depending on project
